Emergency Out Of Hours
If you telephone the surgery, a recorded message will tell you how to contact the Out of Hours service. So, if you call from a public telephone, please have extra coins ready.

There is now a Nottinghamshire-wide GP co-operative covering the out of hours and emergency calls. Emergency telephone enquiries are dealt with by a fully trained nurse who is able to give advice or arrange further care.

One or more emergency centres are open during the night and holiday periods. Patients who are well enough will be asked to attend these emergency centres to see a doctor. Home visiting continues during the out of hours emergency periods for housebound patients.

During the day please phone your normal surgery if you require a doctor urgently. Saturday mornings, please telephone 0115 9892287. At all other times, please telephone 0115 9133000.

Appointments
You can arrange an appointment to see a doctor by phoning the Surgery or calling in and seeing the Receptionists. An appointment is for one person only. If two members of your family need to see the doctor, make two appointments. If you cannot attend your appointment, please phone the Surgery so that they can offer the appointment to another patient. If you need to see a doctor urgently, please explain this to the Receptionist and you will be given an appointment, though not necessarily with the doctor you normally see.

Home Visits
If you need a home visit by the doctor, please let the Receptionist know by 10am, but please try to attend the Surgery if possible.

Telephone Advice from the Doctor
If you need advice directly from the doctor, please telephone the Receptionist. She will make a note of your call and the doctor will phone you, normally after morning Surgery.
